In May the government published a schools White Paper – Educational Excellence Everywhere. Given political developments since then it seems like an age ago. At this moment the new Education Secretary is shortly to be announced. The policy future is therefore in a state of flux. However, it seems very unlikely there will be any meaningful shift in policy direction, even if there are small shifts in emphasis.
